Projects, Projects, Projects...

H
ello all, welcome again. Here's a little update on what 2013 holds in the immediate future; as I press on with.

Lamy Brothers Gig

The first impending thing is another Lamy Brothers gig. This is happening at The Railway Tavern in Tulse Hill on Saturday 30th of March. Here's the event page on facebook: Deerly Bearloved
A lovely way to celebrate the easter weekend!

New Material

The Lamy Brothers have been practicing on and off for a little while now, in preparation for gigs. The hope though is to get a new set of songs written by the end of the year. This, hopefully, will be in addition to my own recording which hope to get in a suitable state for public consumption in a similar time frame.

Bunny Austin

People for Portland Road is a local group working in South Norwood. They are having their next meeting on 23rd April and the South Norwood Tourist Board has been asked to talk a little about the success of Picklesfest and upcoming plans. I will also be playing my little song Bunny Austin:

This is a song about the South Norwood-er and the first tennis player to wear shorts and it will hopefully be performed with Disgraceful bassist and sax player Amy Glover.

...and finally

I am also undertaking a project for artist, raconteur and general somebody Harry Pye. this will hopefully involved recording and shooting a video and I shall keep you all posted...
Rock on.

15 things about me!

H
ello again, you lovely people. Inspired by the lovely Lillian, I thought I'd have a go at giving you some interesting facts about myself...

  • My father is a blue badge guide in Jersey and is featured in the current Jersey Tourism adverts
  • I was once asked to dance in a West End Musical- I turned it down
  • Like all UK males over the age of 30, I have recently been diagnosed with a hiatal hernia
  • I have met some of my childhood heroes and have probably already met some of my future heroes
  • I sometimes joke that I am resilient to setbacks due to my innate superiority complex- this is not as much of a joke as I'd like to think
  • I was almost completely deaf until the age of 5
  • I am trying to teach myself jQuery
  • I am working my way through the Penguin Modern Classics
  • I am working my way back to you girl
  • I play guitar in open G
  • I pretend that lists are longer then they are
  • The first film I saw at the cinema was Labyrinth and the first record I bought was Heaven is a Place on Earth by Belinda Carlisle
  • I have strict ideas on the correct etiquette for crossing the road, boarding trains and using pavements
